I’d like as many members as possible to come on one of Saturday’s club rides as we will be stopping in Bodicote to support Oliver’s Coffee Morning. Oliver is a very brave young man who wants to raise as much money as possible for CLIC Sargent, the charity which supports children with cancer. Even if you’re not able to ride on the day, please make the extra effort to call in to Bodicote anyway.
Saturday 10am Gentle Cafe Ride: The 12-14mph average speed Gentle Cafe Ride never strays far from Banbury and avoids any major hills along its 27 mile route which is suitable for cyclists of all levels.
Saturday 10am Intermediate Ride: The same coffee and cake stop in Bodicote but a faster average of 15-16mph over a longer route of 33.6 miles. Which means you can buy a second slice of cake!
Sunday Long Intermediate and Fast Rides 9am: The long intermediate and fast rides go on a southern loop via Aynho You can expect an average for the former of 17mph and the latter 18mph+ over the 50 miles, if all agree the pace may be even higher. Neither of these rides will be stopping for coffee.
Sunday 10am Intermediate Ride: The second Sunday intermediate heads out to perennial favourite, Canons Ashby. Expect 16mph average speed over the 38 mile ride.
All rides meet at Broadribb cycles 15 minutes before the departure time. It’s important you pick a ride that’s commensurate with your ability levels.
