The maps and details for this weekend’s club rides are as follows. Sunday’s fast and intermediate rides join up at Epwell to celebrate El Presidente’s 50th birthday. You can chose between a 50 mile or 50 km ride and there’ll be cake and coffee at the Chandlers Arms pub. We’ll ride back to Banbury as one group:
Saturday 10am: The gentle cafe ride heads east this weekend, more than ably led by Andy assisted by a few other ride leaders along for company on the 29 mile ride out to Farthinghoe.
Sunday 9am: The fast ride will average over 18mph for this comparatively-flat ride although there’s a leg and lung-busting climb of Sunrising Hill on the return leg to burn off the birthday cake.
Sunday 10am:. John and Bill lead the intermediate ride on a slightly shorter route than usual to meet the fast ride at Epwell. They’ll average about 16mph and there are no major hills to contend with, unless you want to come back with the faster riders and try your hand (and legs) on Sunrising.
