Three weeks into the 2018 TT season and we’ve had three very chilly events so far. That’s not put you off from turning up though and with the excellent weather forecast for Wednesday (including a tail wind helping up the Warwick Road) there’s a very good chance we will hit the maximum of 60 riders for another blast around the 20k course.
Last Wednesday was the first event that counted for the new trophy that the women are competing for, sponsored by Golden Age Cycles which will be awarded to the fastest time over 5 of the 20k events. Naomi de Pennington leads the field so far with 36m30s followed by Helen French at 38m03s.
Sign-on will be at Ludlow Drive starting at 1730 and then closing at 1810 promptly for an 1830 start. New for this season is the ability to register taking part on the club’s Facebook group which will have a message from Keri Williams from Tuesday onwards. Entry is £2 for club members who haven’t paid the TT supplement and £4 for non-members.
The timekeeper is Keri, we are being launched by Derrick Shepley with Dave Speck, Albert Stepien and Team Cherwell acting as marshals.
