Youth shine at Tysoe 10 mile TT

Banbury Star CC returned to their 10 mile Tysoe course for the last time this year on a warm still evening, ideal for time trialling. The fast and relatively flat circular course, always attracts a good entry and whilst holidays meant some of the regulars were missing, 32 riders still turned out to compete.

With a couple of his closest rivals away Jon Simpkins (Drag2Zero) again come out on top to win by a fairly comfortable margin of 1m29s, although still just 1 minute outside the 2016 course record. However, the field behind set some very close times, none better illustrated than second place, which was shared by Simon Bull and Darren Alexander (Team Cherwell) both with a time of 23.26.

There were also some great times set by some of the younger teenage riders with Harry Kirby finishing 4th, Blaine Carpenter 6th and Lydia Watts, first woman home, finishing in 10th.
