Don’t forget the club is holding its second Retro Ride this Sunday, again supported by Golden Age Cycles. This is a non-competitive event, celebrating the growing interest in old* and classic bicycles. Starting at 10am, everyone will ride together for the first 5 miles, before splitting to either an appropriate 24 or 35 mile route. Both have been planned along some of the best local countryside roads. Both groups will meet for a halfway coffee and cake stop at the Chandlers Arms in Epwell.
* for bikes up to the early 1990s, but preferably ’80s and older.
The event will start at 10am from Broadribb Cycles, 1 George Street, Banbury, OX16 5BH.
A trophy will be awarded by Golden Age Cycles for the best turned out rider and bike combination of the day. Click below for the two Garmin routes.
