Banbury Star CC member Tobias Wiesand put in a great ride on Saturday to win the VC Sevale Autumn Open 10 mile time trial. The Malvern club’s event was based at Severn Stoke, 7 miles south of Worcester, held on a slightly undulating course, mainly on the A38.
Tobias was the first rider to start in the field of 58 riders, so starting at one minute intervals, had to wait almost an hour to see whether or not his time could be beaten. He recorded a time of 21.01s, averaging 28.55mph, beating second place man Jon Howard (Team Echelon) by 6 seconds.
