Weekend rides 13/14 October UPDATE Please read

Update 1945 Saturday: we’ve taken the decision to cancel Sunday’s rides, the forecast is for torrential rain for most of the day.

Typcial autumnal weather is due this weekend for our five club rides, it’s advisable to check here or the club’s Facebook group in case we have to cancel due to inclement conditions. The compulsory mudguard rule hasn’t yet taken effect but it could be time to give them a try and make the person sat in your wake a happy chappy/chappette.

Saturday 10am Gentle Cafe Ride: The 12-14mph average speed Gentle Cafe ride is going to Shutford for coffee and cake as part of a 27 mile ride which is suitable for cyclists of all levels.

Saturday 10am Intermediate Ride: The same coffee and cake stop in Shutford but a faster average of 15-16mph over a longer route of 31 miles.

Sunday Long Intermediate and Fast Rides 9am: The long intermediate and fast rides go out into the Cotswolds to Willersey You can expect an average for the former of 17mph and the latter 18mph+ over the 53 miles, if all agree the pace may be even higher. Neither of these rides will be stopping for coffee.

Sunday 10am Intermediate Ride: The second Sunday intermediate is going south to stop at Kizzies near Lower Heyford. Expect 16mph average speed over the 37 mile ride.

All rides meet at Broadribb cycles 15 minutes before the departure time. It’s important you pick a ride that’s commensurate with your ability levels.
