It’s back to our favourite 20k time trial course this Wednesday evening but for the Athlete’s Race which means regular road bikes, no aero bars, no pointy helmets, no disc wheels or anything else the timekeeper thinks will give you an advantage. We’ve previously seen riders on vintage bikes in vintage clothing, folding bikes, shopping bikes, mountain bikes etc. You can of course turn up on a TT bike, aero-ed up to the eyeballs but the time won’t be counted for the overall results.
The first rider will be off at 7pm under the watchful gaze of Keri who is also doing the sign-on which starts at 6pm at Ludlow Drive. Pre-registration is now open on the club’s Facebook group.
Cost:
BSCC and TC members = £3
Non-members = £5
This is a main road event so the use of a rear light is strongly advisable to warn other road users of your presence.
