Weekend Rides 26/27 December

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you are able to make the most of this very different and difficult Christmas and you remain on the Good List not the Naughty List! Lot’s of cycling related presents that I’m sure you are all eager to test out on the road.

There is no ride on Saturday 26th, but there is on Sunday 27th, so signup and start burning off those xmas calories.

Unfortunately if you live in Tier 3 or 4 you will not be allowed to participate in club rides, sorry.

As the colder and more changeable weather is now with us until spring, please keep an eye on the website and Facebook in case of any changes or cancelations.

Please remember you need to register at least 24 hours before the ride. Registration can be done here; Pre Registration Link

All rides are subject to the updated Covid-19 Ride Protocols and can be found here; Ride Protocols

As we will meet in Peoples’ Park, please ensure you do not cycle in the park and be respectful of other users of the park.

Please locate your nominated Ride Leader and do not congregate with riders outside your allocated group.

You must not take part in any club ride if you feel unwell, have any Covid-19 symptoms or suspect that you may have been exposed to someone who has, or if you live or work with someone who has started self-isolating in the last 14 days. This is the primary means of not infecting other riders or volunteers and must be adhered to.

Sunday Long Intermediate and Fast Rides 9am: The long intermediate and fast rides head out to Bicester. You can expect an average for the former of 16-17mph and the latter 17-18mph, if all agree the pace may be even higher. Neither of these rides will be stopping for coffee.

Sunday 10am Intermediate Ride: The Sunday intermediate is going to Brackley. There is no planned stop, but options in Brackley centre. Expect 16mph average speed.

All rides meet at Peoples’ Park 15 minutes before the departure time. It’s important you pick a ride that’s commensurate with your ability levels.
