This years’ BSCC Autumn Reliability Ride takes place on Sunday the 24th October. The route is the familiar and picturesque 62 mile/100km ride on quiet roads heading down to Burford which takes in the delights of the Cotswolds and with a few climbs thrown in for good measure.
The event will still start and finish at Woodgreen Leisure Centre, Banbury, OH16 0HS and the good news is we can revert to the format of pre-Covid times. The HQ will be open from 0830 so please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to sign on and pay the entry fee which is a mere £2 with all proceeds going to charity.
There will be 3 start times:
0900: Leisure Pace. For riders stating a time of 4 – 4 1/2 hours.
0915: Intermediate Pace: For riders stating a time of 3 ½ – 4 hours.
0930: Fast Pace: For riders stating a time of 3 ½ hours or less.
A much sought after and highly revered certificate will be awarded to any riders who manage to stay on course and complete the route in their stated time.
A reminder to all taking part:
Please ensure you have sufficient food, drink and basic bike maintenance tools, and appropriate clothing with you during this ride. There are no marshals or support on the route and it’s the responsibility of each rider to ensure their own well being. In addition, we’ve gone paperless so there are no printed maps.
The event is open to all cyclists, club members and non-club members alike, so please feel free to come along and invite any of your cycling friends to take part in a little bit of history. The entry is a mere £2.
