We’ve already reported that father and son duo Matt and Luke Norris were at Abingdon on Saturday crit racing, but their weekend fun didn’t end there.
On Sunday they changed their discipline to cyclocross with a trip to the Foxhill Motocross track, about 6 miles south east of Swindon.
Foxhill is a venue the Norris family already knew, as the last time Luke raced there, he was on a Husqvarna 450cc bike competing in the British Motocross Championship.
So, a completely different challenge faced them both as they entered a round of the Miche Wessex Cyclo Cross League, racing in a large field of 66 riders.
Luke and Matt in action at Foxhill
Matt started towards the back and made strong early progress, coming through the first lap in 32nd position. He kept pushing and crossed the finish line in 24th place.
Luke also started from the back and worked hard early to make some passes. He managed to get inside the top ten within 3 laps and charged up to an excellent 7th place at the finish.
