Newbould and Lovell in Top Spots

Josh Newbould and Josh Lovell, achieved brilliant results in Sundays’ Aylesbury 10 TT.

In fabulous conditions, quite high temperatures , very sunny, with only a gentle breeze blowing on a course that  goes in and out of Thame on the A4129,heads out through Longwick, turning around at the roundabout on the Tring side of Longwick. A relatively straightforward course out and back, flat and with nothing too technical, other than the roundabout.

Josh Newbould was quickest in the TT bike category with a time of 20.31, also in the same category and only 20 seconds behind was club mate Josh Lovell at 20.51.

Both riders have been very competitive throughout this TT season, maintaining very high standards and excellent results.

In the women’s event, Dewhurst (Team Milton Keynes) took victory in 25-07, comfortably ahead of runner-up Sarah Brydon, with the Berkhamsted Cycling Club member finishing in 26-54 and the final podium place going to Willesden CC’s Gillian Reynolds in 27-53.
In the road bike category, Watford Velo’s Samways finished 50 seconds clear of the field in 22-27 with Dave Dent (GS Stella) back in second in 23-17 and third place sealed by James Conolly of Stevenage CC in 23-40 – just three seconds faster than VeloElite RC’s Michael Burke.
