Simon Smart for D2Z, was the fastest rider on this Wednesday nights penultimate Club TT in a time of 27.27.
Back on the K4/20 course, new road surfaces now laid. A warm but quite blustery evening made for some challenging conditions, especially for Jon Simpkins, who had to take evasive action from a vehicle turning right on his way round and ended up riding on the verge. Father and son Mike and Harry Kirby racing against each other for the first time and Mike showing the youngster a clean pair of heels and beating him to the line! but only a few seconds between them 33.02 and 33.42. Naomi De Pennington was our fastest lady at 30.34, Naomi who is preparing to head out to Trento, Italy for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships this month.
Next week 7th Sept is the final club TT of the season for this year at the at Gaydon the ‘ Come and Try event on the K4/5 course.
Followed by the Durran Cup -Hill Climb on Saturday 10th September – Burton Dassett at 11.00. Our Open TT is September 11th.
Finally there will be a curry evening at the Indian Queen on September 14th.
