Its that time of year again where we must all come together and decide on how the club moves forward over the next 12 months.
The club AGM details have been agreed and are as follows.
Date: Tuesday 18th October 2022
Location: Banbury Cricket Club (Bodicote)
Time: 19:30hrs (prompt start).
An agenda will be circulated shortly, however if you have anything you wish to raise on the agenda please send them to me no later than 01/10.
The bar will be opened for us, however I am not certain if it is a cash only bar so please come prepared for both payment methods if you wish to buy drinks.
I don’t need to remind everyone the importance of these AGMs, however this particular meeting will require maximum attendance as numerous members of the committee are standing down. Without these being filled the very existence of the club is threatened. The committee have taken the club from being on the brink of collapse to one of the biggest and enviable clubs in the country over the past 7 years, therefore a massive thank you must be given to them. The future of the club is not just down to them, and reflect on them stepping down, ultimately it’s everyone’s club and if it is to continue, members need to step forward and give something back by joining the committee. We are all volunteers with day jobs, so no matter how much you can give, a little is a lot and the club is thankful for.
We also need as many members present as we can to ensure quoracy for any decisions, but also the club has to pay for the venue. Sitting in a meeting with a dozen members does not make for money well spent and is totally avoidable.
