BSCC SATURDAY CLUB RIDES & THE DURRAN CUP HILL CLIMB – 9TH SEPTEMBER

Please note: There are no club rides on Sunday due to the club Festival of Racing taking place at Shenington Airfield.

However, there are still two club rides on Saturday. The ride will head over to cheer on and support the competitors taking part in the annual Durran Cup Hill Climb at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park. This is optional , so to be eligible to win this trophy, members will have to sign-on at Burton Dassett car park, it’s free if you have previously paid the TT supplement, otherwise the cost is £3 for members.

Please note, until further notice, the meeting point for all Intermediate cafe rides will now be in the People’s Park, entrance via the Warwick Road, not the car park in Bath Road.

We continue to operate the registration process and we will also continue keeping the group sizes down as it is much safer and easier to coordinate. Please remember you need to register at least 24 hours before the ride. Registration can be done here; Pre Registration Link

2 Taster rides are available, so come and get hooked with riding with “the stars”

As we will meet in Peoples’ Park, please ensure you do not cycle in the park and be respectful of other users of the park.

Please locate your nominated Ride Leader and congregate with riders in your allocated group.

Saturday Gentle Cafe Ride 10:00: With the GCR you can expect an average of 12-14mph. This Saturday, we are heading out to Avon & Burton Dassett, we will then stop for refreshments at the Yew Tree Inn.

Saturday Intermediate Cafe Ride 10:00: Similar route to the GCR with the same stop and different second half of the ride, and with a slightly higher average pace around 15-16mph

All rides meet at the Peoples’ Park 15 minutes before the departure time. It’s important you pick a ride that’s commensurate with your ability levels.
