This Saturday’s club ride is slightly different from the norm, we are heading out to cheer on and support the men’s Tour of Britain riders.
Please note, we will be leaving the People’s Park at 9am on the dot.
The refreshment stop is at the Red Lion, Hellidon, we then head up to Preston Capes to watch the riders ascending the High St; after which, we will head down to the second of our viewing points in Charwelton village, and if anyone requires further refreshments, the Fox & Hound pub is close by.
This ride will be approximately 41 miles at an average speed of around 12-14mph.

The Club requires members to hold third-party liability insurance cover, e.g. as a member of British Cycling, Cycling UK, or another comparable service provider to be able to take part in club rides. You may be asked to provide details when registering for this club ride.
Members WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to just turn up on the morning of the ride. Registration takes place from now until 10am Friday morning for this Saturday’s Gentle Cafe Ride. Until further notice, non-members will now be allowed to come along on a maximum of 2 Taster Weekend Rides before becoming a member. (Does not apply to lapsed members).
