Each year the club holds a hill climb competition at Burton Dassett over a short 700m route that rises approximately 175′ and has a gradient of up to 15%. To the victor comes a year’s worth of bragging rights and the coveted Durran Cup.
This climb also featured on the 2016 Aviva Women’s Tour of Britain.
The 2015 event was won by Dan Bigham in 1m 07s, and the Durran Cup which is presented to the fastest Banbury Star member was awarded to Luke Souter for his time of 1m 15s.
