As part of the clubs TT racing season, we hold an Annual Hillclimbwhich takes place on our KH5 Hill Climb course on the Burton Dassett Hills, just across the Oxfordshire / Warwickshire border.
The Event has started to attract other clubs and from 2023 was selected as a course added onto a Midlands series of hill climbs offering a chance for competitors to achieve points towards the series.
The climb is a short but steep one with a course record currently (2023) of just under one minute.
On the Saturday in early September our Saturday club rides are structured to stop at the hill climb course, so that club members can line the hill climb to add their support to the riders entered in the official TT and then to have the opportunity each year to do a timed climb themselves on the course, for fun, after which they will continue the club ride to the usual coffee stop, where the excuses will flow, and then the ride continues as normal back to Banbury.
