We organise events for of all ages, abilities and disciplines.

Organised Club rides are held each weekend ranging from 25-75 miles in length, and other rides of longer distances or other locations. Many of our members also arrange rides during the week, daytime and evenings and often organise small group rides between themselves.

We have a summer evenings timetable which includes racing, training, time trials and coaching for all our members to choose from. We hold several open events during the year, commencing with our ‘Hardriders’ open time trial which descends and then ascends the infamous ‘Sun Rising’ hill. We hosted our inaugural ‘Festival of Cycling’ in 2023 which will be repeated in the years to come.

In the height of summer, we also organise an ‘open’ road race consisting of a men’s and women’s races.

We have a very active Juniors Section which includes our ‘Rising Stars‘ scheme run with British Cycling qualified coaches.

We also have a very active riding section created specifically for Ladies and this links to British Cycling’s ‘Breeze Rides’ with several of our female members being qualified breeze ride leaders.

The club was established in 1891 and in 2021 we celebrated our 130 year anniversary!
